What did Chandrasekhar Reddy say about his film?

The idea of making a single-take film has been in my head since 2017. Over the years, I’ve created several short films, explored different ways of telling a story, and prepared for that single vision. During the pandemic of 2020–2021, I finally brought this dream to life with PAHAARA.

STORY BEGINS

PAHAARA’s story originally started as a school project, but as I worked on it, it grew into something much more powerful. I made the film with a clear goal in mind – to stand out on the festival circuit. It’s an awards-ready film, designed to impress not just through technique, but through emotional depth and presentation. Shot with a small, focused cast and crew, the film maintains a sense of intimacy. This allows the spotlight to be entirely on the two central performances of Joo and Lee, who carry the emotional core of the film. Their intension and depth bring the story to life in a raw and captivating way.

EXPERIENCE

What sets PAHAARA apart is its format – a single, continuous take. This choice was deliberate, heightening the realism and immersing the audience in every moment. It was technically challenging, but the challenge was essential to achieving the immersive experience I had envisioned for years.

PAHAARA is more than just a film – it is the result of years of creative perseverance and a willingness to take risks. Born in a time of global crisis, it is a personal statement of resilience, ambition and a passion for filmmaking.
