Synopsis

Conceived, directed, and edited by Dario Malini, "Lucem in the Labyrinth. A (Nearly) Quantum Little Story in Lucca" explores the irreversibility of choice. A businesswoman en route to Florence suddenly deviates and wanders through Lucca at dusk, drawn back to the Duomo and its ancient labyrinth. There, a long-buried memory resurfaces: a youthful encounter marked by a kiss and a broken promise. As past and present collide, her consciousness fractures into the many selves she might have been. Like particles in superposition, regret and possibility coexist, urging transformation. Blending emotional introspection with echoes of quantum theory, the film reflects on destiny, missed paths, and the fragile chance of change. AI-assisted visuals and music support a fundamentally human narrative vision.
