Synopsis

The Trap explores the emotional journey of a woman who becomes a victim of self-obsession and lives within her own world, unknowingly pushing away the people she cares about most. The story follows her as she becomes increasingly self-centric and gets dragged to the path of narcissism. As she dives deeper into this pursuit of self-validation, she unknowingly starts to detach herself from her family—her husband and their young child. The film serves as a cautionary tale about the detrimental effect of excessive self-obsession and eventually becomes aloof from the rest of the world. The film highlights how unchecked narcissism can isolate a person form the real world thereby unravel the very connections that bring meaning to life.
